Job Summary
This critical role involves the monitoring and control of gas and water supply processes through a central integrated control system (VLS). As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for ensuring supply security by identifying and isolating faults, documenting incidents in the management system, and coordinating water demand coverage across several city districts including Solingen and Hilden. Beyond active monitoring, you will maintain the data models for the control system and integrate new plant components. This position is ideal for a technical professional who enjoys high-responsibility environments and is comfortable working within a shift system. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in gas/water supply, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, supplemented by a Master Technician (Meister) or Technician (Techniker) qualification.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the field of public gas and water supply
- Experience in monitoring and controlling supply processes via telecontrol systems
- Proven experience in fault detection, isolation, and documentation
- Experience with IT systems and ideally CAD software
- Professional background in operating within a structured shift system
