As a Heavy and Oversized Transport Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating complex logistics operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve processing and evaluating permit applications for heavy-duty transports in accordance with German road traffic regulations (StVO). You will assess technical load profiles, including axle loads and total weights, while verifying proposed routes against current construction sites and infrastructure constraints. Beyond administrative tasks, you will support team leadership in technical matters, coordinate with external stakeholders, and develop innovative solutions for unique transport challenges such as wind turbine components or large-scale machinery. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Fachhochschule or University) in Administrative Sciences or a comparable field with equivalent professional knowledge and qualifications.

Experience

  • Professional experience in processing heavy and oversized transport permits according to StVO regulations.
  • Extensive experience in legal assessment and drafting legally binding traffic orders or statements.
  • Proven experience in technical evaluation of transport configurations, including axle spacing and aerodynamic aspects.
  • Experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships, including legal counsel and high-profile commercial applicants.
  • Leadership experience in coordinating technical team tasks and inter-departmental projects.
