Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a physicist to join the Chair of Physics of Quantum Materials at TU Dresden. As a Research Associate, you will investigate unconventional electron-phonon coupling effects in two-dimensional superconductors. Your day-to-day work will involve using high-resolution Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction to identify and characterize structural instabilities under varying conditions such as hydrostatic pressure, uniaxial stress, and temperature. You may also utilize Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations to support your experimental findings. This position is unique as it is embedded within the Cluster of Excellence 'ctd.qmat', providing access to world-class experimental facilities and a collaborative network between TU Dresden and the University of Würzburg. The role is designed for candidates seeking a PhD, offering intensive mentoring, a family-friendly environment, and the chance to contribute to cutting-edge quantum matter research in one of Germany's leading scientific hubs.
