Job Summary
This role involves managing the comprehensive IT infrastructure for the Schermbeck municipal administration, including public works, fire departments, and schools. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, procurement, and maintenance of hardware and software systems, alongside ensuring robust IT security and data protection. Day-to-day tasks include managing virtualization environments (Proxmox VE), Active Directory, and VOIP systems, as well as providing 1st to 3rd-level support for approximately 110 employees. A unique aspect of this position is the mentorship of IT trainees specializing in system integration. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelors or equivalent) in Administrative Informatics, Business Informatics, or a related IT focus; or a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT system integration and information technology
- Proven experience in managing Windows and Linux server environments
- Experience in the planning and implementation of IT projects
- Experience in network configuration, monitoring, and firewall administration
- Experience in providing technical user support and hardware/software troubleshooting
