Job Summary
As a Software & Series Support Engineer, you will manage the control systems (hardware and software) for mobile machinery throughout their entire product life cycle. Based in Bad Schussenried within the construction machinery industry, your daily tasks involve supporting production and purchasing to ensure supply chain stability, performing second-level support for error analysis, and maintaining technical documentation such as circuit diagrams and parts lists. You will play an increasingly active role in software development, specifically testing software modules using Tessy and conducting system integration tests on HIL systems. This position is ideal for those who enjoy cross-functional collaboration between R&D, production, and quality departments. The role offers a secure employment contract under GVP/DGB collective agreements, regular working hours without shifts or weekends, and a clear path toward permanent takeover by the client company.
Required Skills
Education
Degree or Technician certification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Vehicle Engineering, Automation Technology, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience with control systems (hardware and software) and vehicle electrical systems
- Professional experience in the automotive or commercial vehicle industry is preferred
- Experience in software module testing and system integration/qualification on HIL systems
- Experience in creating and maintaining circuit diagrams, cable harnesses, and parts lists
- Experience with ERP software systems is preferred
