Job Summary
This role involves working in a modern, family-run medical diagnostic laboratory in the heart of Hamburg. As a central link between sample receipt and specialized analytical departments, you will be responsible for the professional handling, sorting, and distribution of medical specimen materials. Day-to-day tasks include assessing sample quality under pre-analytical requirements, processing emergency samples, centrifuging, and aliquoting specimens for further preparation. You will also handle telephone inquiries regarding order discrepancies. The position is ideal for those who enjoy a mix of manual and modern laboratory activities within a service-oriented team. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Biological Laboratory Technician (BTA) or Medical Assistant (MFA).
Experience
- Professional experience as a Biological Laboratory Technician (BTA) or Medical Assistant (MFA) is preferred, but motivated career starters are welcome
- Experience in medical laboratory environments or sample management
- Experience in handling medical specimen materials and assessing pre-analytical quality
- Experience in professional telephone communication and administrative clarification

- Must be available to work shifts between 08:00 and 19:30 Monday to Friday, and Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00. Location is based in Hamburg City.
