Job Summary
This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a doctoral candidate to join the iMOL Research Training Group at Goethe University Frankfurt. Working at the intersection of molecular life sciences and quantitative imaging, the successful candidate will conduct an independent PhD project focused on investigating the molecular principles of life. Day-to-day activities involve developing and applying advanced microscopy techniques, such as light- and cryo-electron microscopy, alongside AI-driven image analysis. The position is highly collaborative, requiring interaction with an international network of physicists, biologists, and computer scientists. What makes this role unique is the access to state-of-the-art facilities, including the Frankfurt Centers for Advanced and Electron Microscopy, and a structured qualification program that includes international winter schools and workshops. Candidates will benefit from a fully funded position (65% E13 TV-G-U) for 36 months within a vibrant, interdisciplinary research environment on the Riedberg Campus.
Required Skills
Education
Excellent Master’s degree or equivalent in Biochemistry, Biology, Physics, or Computer Science.
