Job Summary

As a Computer Scientist and AI Expert at VDI Technologiezentrum, you will play a critical role at the intersection of science, industry, and government policy. Your primary responsibility is to evaluate research and development (R&D) project applications from German companies to determine their eligibility for tax-based funding under the Research Allowance Act (FZulG). You will conduct technical assessments, document findings, and issue legally binding certificates. Beyond evaluation, you will contribute to the design and development of intelligent IT products for digital funding processes, specifically focusing on data-driven and AI-supported applications. This role is ideal for those who enjoy analyzing complex technical subject matter and want to contribute to strengthening Germany's position as a technology hub. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Computational Linguistics.

Experience

  • Professional experience in evaluating IT and AI-related projects and understanding current technological developments.
  • Experience in the technical assessment of research and development applications.
  • Experience in drafting legally binding technical statements and documentation.
  • Experience or strong interest in digital administrative processes and IT-supported funding instruments.
  • No prior professional experience required; structured entry-level training and mentorship provided for graduates.
