Job Summary

This role is based at the Chair of Experimental Plasma Physics at the University of Greifswald, where you will support fundamental research into the dynamics of magnetized plasmas. On a day-to-day basis, you will assist scientists and students with the selection, commissioning, safety, and maintenance of electrotechnical, electro-optical, and mechanical components used in experimental setups. You will also play a key role in supporting teaching activities and managing organizational tasks within the laboratory. The ideal candidate holds a degree in electrical engineering and possesses specialized knowledge in high-frequency technology and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Required Skills

Education

Successful completion of a state-certified Technician degree (Techniker) specializing in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification with relevant task-related knowledge.

Experience

  • Professional experience as a technician in the field of electrical engineering or a related discipline
  • Practical experience in high-frequency technology and EMC measurement/testing
  • Experience in the development of electronic control unit circuits and mechatronic systems is highly preferred
  • Experience working with high-voltage, power electronics, and vacuum technology
  • Proven ability to work independently and organize laboratory tasks
