Job Summary
As a Chemist specializing in environmental analysis at our Markranstädt facility, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluation of both instrumental and wet-chemical analyses. Your daily activities will involve working with advanced chromatographic and spectroscopic technologies such as GC-MS, ICP-MS, and HPLC to support environmental and exhaust gas monitoring. You will play a key role in developing and validating new analytical methods, performing plausibility checks on measurement results, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys hands-on laboratory work and wants to contribute to a crisis-proof industry. You will provide technical guidance to laboratory assistants and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of experts. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in an accredited laboratory or the environmental sector is preferred
- Practical experience in instrumental analysis including GC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, IC, and HPLC
- Experience in the evaluation and validation of analytical measurement results
- Familiarity with quality management systems according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025
- Experience in technical supervision of laboratory staff is beneficial

- The position is located in Markranstädt near Leipzig. It is a permanent full-time position, though part-time may be considered. Candidates must be able to work on-site at the accredited laboratory facility.
