Job Summary
This role offers an excellent entry point into the field of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for individuals with a technical background. As a Materials Tester specializing in Penetrant Testing (PT), you will be responsible for performing surface inspections, preparing and post-processing components, and conducting visual inspections to ensure quality and safety standards. A significant part of the role involves documenting test results and working independently within specialized testing environments, including darkened inspection rooms. This position is unique because it welcomes candidates without prior NDT experience; the company provides comprehensive training and covers all costs for external qualification to achieve Level 2 certification. It is a full-time, 38-hour-per-week position based in Schlangen, offering a stable career path with no shift work and a focus on precision and technical development.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training (e.g., in metalworking, crafts, production, materials testing, or a comparable field).
Experience
- Professional experience in a technical field such as metalworking, craftsmanship, or production
- No prior experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) required
- Experience in independent and structured work environments
- Experience working within a collaborative team
