Job Summary

The Jade University of Applied Sciences is seeking a dedicated Professor to join the Department of Engineering at the Wilhelmshaven campus. This role is central to the university's strategic goal of becoming an 'AI University' by 2030. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, including foundational subjects like high-level and object-oriented programming. You will lead research activities in Datastream Mining, secure third-party funding, and contribute to the internationalization and academic self-administration of the department. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between theoretical AI and practical engineering applications. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Computer Science or Mathematics; a doctoral degree (PhD) is required to demonstrate scientific aptitude.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of professional practical experience since graduation
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience outside of the university sector
  • Proven experience in the application of AI methods to technical and physical engineering problems
  • Experience in developing and applying AI algorithms for data stream analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in scientific publishing and research
  • Experience in acquiring third-party research funding
  • Proven pedagogical and didactic suitability through practical teaching experience
