Job Summary
This role is for a System and Application Administrator within the Acquisition and Logistics Department of the Rhineland-Palatinate Police Headquarters for Operations, Logistics, and Technology (PP ELT) in Mainz. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, focusing on IT workstations, user administration, servers, and providing user support. Day-to-day tasks include installing and setting up IT workstations, managing user accounts and permissions, performing service work on peripheral devices, and administering mobile devices. The role also involves advising staff on IT workstation usage and Microsoft Office products, handling IT security tasks, and conducting data backup, system monitoring, and virus protection for IT workstations and servers. Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (System Integration) or equivalent qualifications and experience
Experience
- Practical experience in PC and peripheral device installation (including network environments)
- Professional experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems and standard Microsoft Office products
- Professional experience with Microsoft Active Directory
- Professional experience with hardware
- Professional experience with network architecture and components
