Job Summary

This role involves the strategic and operational leadership of the Catholic Parish Association of Osnabrück, specifically focusing on the management of 24 daycare centers serving approximately 1,900 children. As Deputy Managing Director, you will work closely with the General Manager and a team of 760 employees to ensure the smooth operation of these facilities. Your daily responsibilities will include financial management with budget responsibility, comprehensive human resources management, and providing professional supervision over the daycare centers. You will be a key representative for the association, engaging in networking and public relations while collaborating with honorary committees, local municipalities, and the Diocese of Osnabrück. This position is unique for its high level of autonomy and the opportunity to shape a large-scale social organization during a significant transition period. The role offers flexible working hours, mobile work options, and a competitive salary based on public service scales (TVöD equivalent).

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma) in Social Management, Business Administration, Public Management, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in social management, business administration, or public management
  • Proven leadership experience in a management capacity
  • Experience in strategic and operational steering of organizations
  • Experience in financial oversight and budget responsibility
  • Experience working with legal frameworks related to childcare or public service
