Job Summary

As an Electrical Technician specializing in transformers for Berlin's power grid, you will play a vital role in the city's energy transition. Working within the Primary Technology department in Berlin-Mariendorf, your daily responsibilities will involve coordinating technical and commercial processes, organizing annual and monthly maintenance planning, and overseeing the inspection and repair of power grid assets. You will act as a key interface for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all maintenance documentation is accurately recorded and that defects are tracked through to resolution. The role offers a high degree of autonomy, allowing you to manage material requests, employee training schedules, and safety compliance. This position is particularly attractive due to its 37-hour work week, flexible working models, and a competitive salary range of €51,000 to €65,000, all while contributing to the reliable energy supply of 3.7 million customers in a sustainable urban environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational technical training followed by further qualification as a State-Certified Technician, Master Craftsman (Meister), or Technical Business Administrator (Fachwirt).

Experience

  • Many years of professional experience in field service operations
  • Experience in planning, coordination, and cross-departmental communication
  • Professional experience in the operation and functionality of energy supply networks
  • Experience with power transformers, coils, and converters is preferred
  • Experience using SAP and workforce management software is preferred
