Job Summary

As a Systems Engineer in Electrical Engineering, you will take full technical responsibility for assigned systems and components throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design and integration to final commissioning. Your daily activities involve designing electrical systems, creating technical specifications, and managing technical negotiations with suppliers in collaboration with the purchasing department. You will act as a pivotal technical link between development, procurement, and project management, ensuring that all integrations meet contractual requirements and customer standards. A significant part of the role includes preparing and overseeing acceptance tests and commissioning procedures, both at subcontractor sites and on-board vessels. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Communications Engineering, Information Technology, Naval Architecture, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field; alternatively, advanced training as a certified Technician.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the constructive design, integration, and testing of electrical systems
  • Experience in conducting technical negotiations and evaluating supplier offers
  • Professional experience in creating test specifications and protocols for system acceptance
  • Ideally several years of experience in the shipbuilding or maritime industry, specifically with the German Navy
  • Experience working with marine construction regulations and standards is an advantage
