Job Summary

This PhD position is based within the Lipidomics research group at the Leibniz Institute for Analytical Sciences (ISAS) and is part of the 'Cardio-Oncology Campus for Precision Medicine'. The successful candidate will focus on developing and analyzing biomarker profiles to assess cardiovascular risks in cancer patients. Day-to-day responsibilities include the analysis of longitudinal blood, plasma, and tissue samples, as well as the development of targeted metabolomics, lipidomics, and proteomics assays. You will validate biomarkers using advanced technologies like MALDI-MSI and LC-MS, while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary project partners. Required Skills

Education

Master of Science (M.Sc.) or equivalent degree in biology, chemistry, physics, pharmacy, food technology, or a related natural science field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a laboratory setting, specifically in bioanalytics, imaging, or immunology
  • Practical knowledge of mass spectrometry and/or microscopy
  • Experience in evaluating, analyzing, and visualizing scientific data
  • Demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary scientific teams
