As a System Architecture Engineer for HVDC Systems at Amprion, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Germany's energy transition. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve developing the electrical system layout for HVDC systems, covering critical areas such as AC grid connections, converters, direct current, and underground cabling. You will act as the central point of contact for holistic electrical system design questions during both planning and implementation phases. This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to manage interfaces across projects and coordinate technical positions within a multi-TSO context across Germany and Europe. You will also evaluate technological advancements, initiate technical studies, and provide expert support during commercial tenders for cables and platforms.
