Job Summary

As a Data Center IT Technician, you will be responsible for the critical physical infrastructure management at client sites in Ingolstadt and across Germany. Your daily routine involves high-volume patching (approximately 350 instances per month), managing server room cabling including power, fiber optics, and copper, and providing on-site IMAC/R support. You will handle standard service requests, troubleshoot network issues, and provide specialized VIP support and RSA token management. This role is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy hands-on infrastructure work and are comfortable with a 24/5 shift rotation. The position offers a competitive starting wage of €19 per hour plus supplements, providing a stable full-time opportunity within a major data center environment. The role stands out due to its blend of high-level technical networking and physical hardware management, offering exposure to diverse external locations through occasional travel.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in the IT field (e.g., IT System Integration) or equivalent professional experience in networking/data centers.

Experience

  • Professional experience in network or data center environments
  • Practical experience in patching and cabling (copper and fiber optics)
  • Experience in on-site support and request fulfillment (IMAC/R)
  • Proven experience in hardware troubleshooting and error analysis
