Job Summary
This role is central to the ARD's 'Digital Renewal' initiative, focusing on the transition to a modern Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) for the German public broadcasting network. As a member of the Information Processing Center (IVZ), you will be responsible for the conceptual design, implementation, and operation of a highly available, event-based integration platform using technologies like Kafka or AMQP. Your daily tasks involve developing domain-specific event models, designing event-sourcing patterns, and integrating internal and external systems into the event bus while ensuring security and compliance. This position is ideal for technical experts who enjoy coaching teams on EDA best practices and working on large-scale distributed systems. Required Skills
Education
University degree in (Media) Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience with event-based platforms
- Proven experience in the design and operation of highly available systems
