Job Summary

As a Technical Laboratory Assistant at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Freiburg site, you will play a vital role in the quality assurance and control of Allergy and Autoimmune Disease (AID) diagnostic products. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve testing and adjusting solid phases, antigens, and raw materials to ensure strict adherence to quality standards. You will be responsible for documenting test results, maintaining laboratory equipment, and monitoring inventory of control sera in compliance with ISO and GMP regulations. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys technical problem-solving and systematic laboratory work. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), Medical Technical Assistant (MTA), Laboratory Assistant, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a GxP-regulated production environment is preferred
  • Experience in quality control of antigens, raw materials, and liquids
  • Demonstrated experience in laboratory documentation and archiving according to industry standards
  • Practical experience in maintaining and servicing laboratory equipment

Additional

  • This is a fixed-term contract for 2 years. Candidates must have or be willing to undergo Hepatitis B (HBV) vaccination/titer determination. The role involves working with hazardous and toxic materials under strict safety standards.
