Job Summary
As a Coatings Development Engineer at Teknos, you will play a pivotal role in the innovation and refinement of wood, water-based, and UV coating systems. Based in Alzenau, your daily responsibilities involve the end-to-end development of new formulations, from initial ideation to final product implementation and test batching. You will analyze new recipes, evaluate raw materials in collaboration with category management, and support the sales team during customer trials. This position offers a unique blend of laboratory work and international collaboration, as you will participate in global specialist groups and work on cross-border projects. Required Skills
Education
Degree or advanced training as a Paint Laboratory Technician, Coatings Engineer, Chemist, or a comparable qualification in coating technology.
Experience
- Professional experience in coatings chemistry, specifically with wood, water-based, or UV coatings
- Experience in developing new formulations from concept to final product
- Experience in conducting laboratory analysis and testing procedures
- Initial experience in project management is preferred
- Experience supporting sales teams and technical customer inquiries
