Job Summary
This role offers a unique opportunity for a scientist to transition into a high-level commercial position, acting as a bridge between cutting-edge research and industrial application. Based in Taunusstein, you will facilitate the creation of large-scale research instruments for an international customer base, specifically focusing on Electron Spectroscopy and Scanning Probe Microscopy. Your day-to-day will involve technical consulting at the frontier of scientific progress, managing complex commercial tenders, and representing the company at global events. You will translate customer needs into technical requirements for R&D and Product Management teams. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys novel challenges and wants to apply their scientific background in an entrepreneurial, hands-on environment. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Science (preferably Physics or a related field).
Experience
- Professional experience in at least one branch of Surface Science (e.g., UHV, ARPES, STM)
- Experience in managing technical and commercial responses to tenders
- Proven track record in presenting technical information to scientific audiences
- Experience in international customer relationship management
- Background in entrepreneurial or hands-on technical environments

- Willingness to travel internationally to visit customers and attend events is required. Must have an entrepreneurial attitude and the ability to work in Taunusstein, Germany.
