Job Summary

Joining the DFS competency center at Munich Airport, you will be part of an operational engineering team responsible for the safety, reliability, and availability of critical air traffic control technical systems. Your day-to-day work involves controlling, monitoring, and performing maintenance on networked systems, specifically focusing on Air Traffic Services (ATS) networks and fallback systems. You will handle system configurations, diagnose and resolve operational malfunctions, and document technical measures to ensure strict compliance with safety standards. This role is highly collaborative, requiring coordination with product and project management for technical inquiries and system upgrades. The position is unique for its integration into one of Germany's largest aviation hubs, offering a 'New Work' environment and the chance to work on high-stakes infrastructure that sets international benchmarks in aviation safety. Candidates must be willing to work in a shift rotation and undergo security clearance.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the commissioning and maintenance of technical systems preferred
  • Experience in managing and monitoring networked technical systems and fallback solutions
  • Proven ability in technical analysis and structured problem-solving
  • Experience working within strict release processes and safety-critical environments
