Job Summary

As a Power System Protection Engineer at Stadtwerke Düsseldorf, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability of energy supply for over a million people. Your daily responsibilities involve developing protection concepts for medium and high-voltage systems, evaluating secondary technical connections, and deriving protection parameters from plant data. You will be hands-on with the configuration and testing of protection devices using various engineering tools, as well as conducting operational protection tests during commissioning and maintenance. A key part of the role includes analyzing system disturbances and performing fault diagnostics to optimize protection and control components. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a focus on Power Engineering or Automation Technology.

  • Practical experience in commissioning, functional testing, and maintenance of protection devices
  • Experience in analyzing network disturbances and performing technical fault diagnostics
  • Proven experience working with supply network structures, switchgear, and transformers
