Job Summary
As an EMC Laboratory Expert at TÜV Hessen in Kassel, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of diverse industrial and medical devices. Your daily responsibilities include planning and executing standardized and custom EMC tests and measurements in accordance with European and international standards. You will guide clients through the entire process, from initial quoting and testing to final report generation. Additionally, you will support the maintenance of the laboratory's ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, calculate measurement uncertainties, and contribute to the development of new testing methods. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Physics, or completed training as a Master Technician (Meister/Techniker) or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in planning and conducting EMC tests and measurements
- Experience in client management from quotation to reporting
- Professional background in maintaining laboratory accreditations (ISO/IEC 17025)
- Experience in calculating measurement uncertainties according to international standards
- Experience in the technical implementation and verification of measurement procedures

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to undertake occasional business travel. Flexibility to adjust working hours based on workload. Must be able to work on-site in Kassel for laboratory activities.
