This role involves the independent execution of material testing and analysis within the automotive sector, focusing on ensuring the quality and integrity of forged and finished parts. As a Materials Laboratory Technician, you will perform a wide range of tests including hardness testing (Vickers, Brinell, Rockwell), metallographic examinations, spectral analysis, and crack detection. You will be responsible for creating and validating test programs, conducting initial sample inspections, and supporting damage analysis on reclaimed components. Beyond testing, you will play a critical role in quality assurance by monitoring QM standards (IATF 16949) and making release decisions for production.
