Job Summary

As a Service Technician at KONE in Berlin, you will be responsible for the independent maintenance and repair of elevators and escalators within a dedicated territory. Your daily routine involves conducting inspections, troubleshooting technical malfunctions, and replacing components to ensure passenger safety. You will also coordinate and accompany safety inspections with organizations like TÜV or DEKRA. This role offers high autonomy, allowing you to prioritize your own tasks and schedule. The position is particularly attractive due to its crisis-proof nature, a 35-hour work week under the IG Metall collective agreement, and a company vehicle available for unlimited private use. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in mechatronics, electronics, or electrical fields
  • Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of technical systems
  • Previous experience in the elevator and escalator industry is preferred but not required (career changers welcome)
  • Experience in organizing and prioritizing independent field service tasks

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Valid Class B driver's license required. Participation in a rotating on-call standby service (approximately 7 weeks per year). Must be based in or able to commute within the Berlin area.
