As the Team Lead for the Data Development Pool within the Societal Observatory Using Novel Data Sources (SOUNDS) project at Saarland University, you will play a pivotal role in bridging computer and social sciences. You will lead a specialized team of at least three Data Engineers to build and maintain a central data infrastructure, including Data Warehouses and Data Lakes, to support interdisciplinary research on societal transformation. Your daily responsibilities involve designing technical architectures for diverse data sources like satellite imagery and social media, ensuring data quality and compliance, and consulting with researchers on technical solutions.
