Job Summary
As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the conceptual design and continuous development of secure network architectures, including segmentation, policies, and compliance. Your daily tasks involve implementing and hardening firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems, as well as managing the lifecycle of Linux-based servers and security platforms like Palo Alto and OpenStack. You will proactively monitor for security incidents, perform vulnerability analyses, and provide advanced 2nd/3rd-level troubleshooting support. This role is highly collaborative, requiring coordination with development and infrastructure teams to maintain high-performance network environments. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration), a degree in a related field, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the field of network and IT security.
- Proven experience working within complex IT infrastructures.
- Practical experience in the operation and configuration of Palo Alto firewalls.
- Experience with modern networking and virtualization technologies such as Open vSwitch and OpenStack.
- Professional experience in Linux server environments.
