Job Summary
As a Software Developer and Application Administrator for the Blood Bank system in Mannheim, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continuous supply of life-saving blood products. Your daily responsibilities involve the customization, parameterization, and maintenance of specialized blood bank software covering appointment scheduling, donation management, and distribution. You will bridge the gap between functional requirements and technical solutions by creating complex SQL and PL/SQL evaluations, reports, and data analyses. Additionally, you will provide 2nd-level support, conduct user training, and ensure system performance within a highly regulated environment. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science for Application Development (Fachinformatiker Anwendungsentwicklung) or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in application support, software administration, or application management
- Practical experience in handling relational database systems, specifically Oracle
- Experience in creating technical reports, evaluations, and managing data quality
- Experience working within regulated environments such as healthcare or transfusion medicine is preferred
- Proven experience in translating functional business requirements into technical system solutions
