Job Summary
As the Technical Director for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), you will hold full technical responsibility for innovative energy storage projects from initial planning through to grid commissioning. Your daily activities involve creating and reviewing Single Line Diagrams (SLD), designing grid connection concepts, and overseeing layout planning for containers and cable routes. You will serve as the primary point of contact for grid operators, certifiers, and EPC partners, ensuring all installations meet regulatory and safety standards. This role is highly dynamic, requiring you to be active both in the office for technical documentation and on-site for quality assurance, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Required Skills
Education
Master Electrician (Elektromeister) qualification is mandatory; Electrical engineering training.
Experience
- Professional experience in energy systems such as storage, photovoltaics, or industrial plants
- Experience in creating Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- Practical experience in control cabinet construction and control wiring
- Experience in low and medium voltage technology
- Experience in protection, control, and regulation technology
