Job Summary
As the IT Workplace & Support Team Lead for Northern Europe, you will spearhead a team of approximately eight professionals across the DACH and Benelux regions. Your daily responsibilities involve technical and disciplinary leadership, ensuring stable IT support operations based on ITIL standards, and managing the modern Microsoft 365 workplace environment. You will be instrumental in defining regional KPIs, managing the IT budget, and overseeing the entire device lifecycle from procurement to disposal. This role is unique for its regional scope, offering the opportunity to drive process optimization and automation (such as shift-left strategies) across multiple international locations. Based in the Munich area, the position offers a hybrid work model and requires occasional travel to offices in Germany, Austria, Belgium, and Switzerland, making it an ideal fit for a proactive leader looking to shape a modern IT service organization within a major insurance group.
Required Skills
Education
Completed IT vocational training or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT support and workplace environments
- Previous leadership experience in a professional setting
- Experience in managing ITIL-based processes and service organizations

- Experience in budget planning and resource management

- Willingness to travel approximately three times per quarter to locations in Rostock (DE), Vienna (AUT), Brussels (BE), and Nyon (CH). Candidate must be located in or willing to work in the Greater Munich area.
