Joining the Project Management Jülich at Forschungszentrum Jülich, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital infrastructure for science and research funding. This position involves the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualizing and programming specific database applications to optimizing IT systems and ensuring their stability, security, and performance. You will be responsible for creating requirement analyses, implementing complex software components using high-level programming languages, and integrating systems to meet ministerial reporting standards. Beyond coding, you will contribute to the IT strategy and architecture, evaluate security guidelines, and provide technical consultancy for interdisciplinary projects. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in server virtualization and management for Windows and Linux environments
- Experience in software development using high-level programming languages
- Proven experience in project management and leading or co-leading IT projects
- Experience with automation tools and hardware management
- Experience in the commissioning and operation of SAN systems
- Professional experience in requirements analysis and technical documentation
