Job Summary

As a Specialist for Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) Operations Management at DB InfraGO AG, you will play a pivotal role in the digitalization of the German rail system. Based in Frankfurt (Main), your day-to-day responsibilities involve evaluating and defining specific operational requirements for the FRMCS platform, including service level agreements (SLAs), capacity planning, and availability. You will develop and document operational parameters, coordinate with regulatory authorities for approval readiness, and design conceptual scenarios for fault management and maintenance. This position is unique as it places you at the forefront of implementing next-generation telecommunications technology in a critical infrastructure environment. You will act as a bridge between technical departments, management, and authorities like the Federal Railway Authority (EBA), ensuring that maintenance and operation processes are standardized, efficient, and future-proof using lean methodologies.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering), Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field; alternatively, extensive professional experience in the relevant field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the operation and maintenance of telecommunications solutions, ideally in mobile communications
  • Experience in defining maintenance and operational processes and representing them to management
  • Profound knowledge of current railway regulations and the A2 process
  • Experience in conceptual and interdisciplinary work within a technical environment
  • Proven track record in stakeholder management and networking with internal and external partners
