Job Summary
As a Network Administrator for the North Rhine-Westphalia Financial Administration, you will be responsible for the planning, installation, and maintenance of diverse network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, and WLAN. Your day-to-day work involves the complete conversion of local networks, rollout planning for new hardware components, and the configuration of switches and routers. You will act as a critical technical expert, analyzing and resolving network disruptions while collaborating closely with software development and IT operations teams. This role is unique for its regional focus on the Bergisch Land and Sauerland areas, offering a secure public service position with flexible working hours and home office options. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Communications Engineering, or Engineering. Alternatively, a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or IT Systems Electronician combined with several years of relevant experience at a professional level.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in at least two areas: Windows Server, Linux Server, Virtualization, or User Support
- Experience in planning and rollout of network components
- Professional experience in network configuration and software updates
- Experience in IT operations and environment management is preferred
- Experience with agile working methods is an advantage

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to travel within the Bergisch Land/Sauerland region. Willingness to undergo initial training in other regions of North Rhine-Westphalia.
