Job Summary
This role involves the planning, setup, and maintenance of diverse network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, WLAN) for the North Rhine-Westphalia financial administration. As a key member of the 'Networks, Systems Engineering, Administration, and UPS' expert team, you will manage the complete conversion of local networks, including demand planning and the rollout of new hardware components. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring switches and routers, performing software updates, and troubleshooting network disruptions in collaboration with specialized departments. You will also handle service requests and coordinate with software development and IT operations teams. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Communications Engineering, Engineering, or a related field; alternatively, a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or IT Systems Electronician with several years of equivalent professional experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in at least two areas: Windows Server, Linux Server, Virtualization (e.g., VMware), or User Support
- Professional experience in network technology at a level equivalent to a university degree
- Experience in planning and implementing network hardware rollouts
- Experience in fault analysis and incident resolution

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to travel within the assigned region (Bergisches Land / Sauerland) and participate in training sessions in other regions of NRW. Eligibility for public service employment (TV-L).
