This role involves the planning, implementation, and maintenance of diverse network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, WLAN) for the North Rhine-Westphalia financial administration. As a member of the 'Networks, Systems Engineering, Administration, and UPS' support team, you will be responsible for the complete modernization of local networks, including rollout planning and the configuration of hardware components such as switches and routers. Day-to-day activities include troubleshooting technical issues in collaboration with specialized departments, processing service requests, and coordinating with software development and IT operations teams. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Communications Engineering, Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or IT Systems Electronician combined with several years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in at least two areas: Windows Server, Linux Server, Virtualization, or User Support
- Professional experience in planning and rollout of network components
- Professional experience in network technology at a level equivalent to a university degree
- Experience in IT operations, automation frameworks, or agile methodologies is preferred

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to travel for initial training in other regions of North Rhine-Westphalia. Must be eligible for public service employment.
