Job Summary

This role involves the technical planning and integration of navigation and communication systems for naval vessels. As a Marine Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting requirement analyses, developing system concepts, and creating technical documentation such as order specifications and test instructions. Your day-to-day will involve coordinating project workflows, supporting procurement processes through supplier evaluations, and managing technical interfaces between internal departments, customers, and suppliers. A unique aspect of this position is the hands-on involvement in planning and executing acceptance tests both at supplier sites and directly on board ships. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Communications Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the design of complex systems within the maritime or naval sector
  • Practical experience using engineering tools such as DOORS, EPLAN, or Siemens Teamcenter
  • Proven track record in creating technical documentation according to international standards
  • Experience in managing device databases or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
  • Experience in planning and conducting acceptance tests (FAT/HAT/SAT)
