Job Summary
As a System Integration Developer at the Medical Center for Information and Communication Technology (MIK), you will play a vital role in the digital infrastructure of University Hospital Erlangen. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve administering and expanding the InterSystems HealthShare Health Connect communication server, ensuring seamless data exchange between clinical IT systems. You will work within a motivated team to integrate new applications using modern standards like HL7 FHIR and DICOM, while providing expert consultation to clinical departments on IT procurement and implementation. This position is particularly attractive due to its focus on cutting-edge e-health technologies and the stability of a public service contract (TV-L). Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Medical Technology, Medical Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in administering and expanding communication servers, specifically InterSystems HealthShare Health Connect
- Experience in project-based integration of clinical IT application systems
- Proven experience with medical communication standards including HL7 V2, DICOM, and HL7 FHIR
- Practical experience in object-oriented programming using languages such as Java or Python
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL
- Desirable experience in healthcare process workflows and hospital IT security

- The position is located in Erlangen and is subject to the TV-L collective agreement for public service. While listed as full-time (38.5 hours), the role is also available as a part-time position. The contract is permanent (unbefristet).
