Job Summary

As an Energy Analytics Engineer at BCG Platinion, you will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation within the energy, trading, and utilities sectors. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve advising clients on market trends and technological impacts, conducting benchmarking, and performing requirements engineering. You will be instrumental in building internal platforms by developing Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) using modern development methodologies and GenAI-powered tools. The role requires a blend of analytical rigor and technical execution, as you evaluate emerging technologies like Digital Twins and multi-agent systems to create actionable strategies for energy providers. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in implementing IT solutions within the energy sector (industry, software provider, or consulting)
  • Professional experience in DevOps, Release Management, Environment Management, or Test Management
  • Practical experience with utility-specific system landscapes such as trading, sales, service, or grid operations
  • Professional experience in developing PoCs and MVPs using modern development methodologies
