Job Summary
As the Team Lead for Customs, you will spearhead a specialized team at Infraserv Logistics focused on origin of goods, preferences, and INTRASTAT reporting within the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve managing disciplinary and technical leadership, overseeing customs authorizations, and ensuring legal compliance across international trade processes. You will act as a critical interface between sales, operations, and customs authorities, providing expert guidance on EU customs regulations (UCC) and preference agreements. This role is unique for its location in the Industriepark Höchst, offering a high-impact position where you combine hands-on technical expertise with strategic team development. You will also be responsible for conducting internal training to simplify complex customs topics for the broader organization, ensuring the company remains a reliable partner in the global supply chain.
Required Skills
Education
Completed commercial vocational training or a degree in Customs Administration (Diplom-Finanzwirt), Business Administration, or Logistics/Supply Chain Management, supplemented by additional qualifications in customs law.
Experience
- Initial leadership experience in developing teams and processes is required.
- Professional experience in a customs, logistics, or freight forwarding environment.
- Extensive expertise in handling customs authorizations and preference agreements.
- Proven experience in origin calculations and implementing EU customs regulations.
- Experience in communicating with customs authorities and interdisciplinary teams.
