Job Summary

This full-time research position is based at the Technical University of Clausthal within the 'Machine Learned Models for Engineers' (ML4E) research group. The successful candidate will focus on developing innovative machine learning forecasting models for water management, specifically utilizing architectures like Transformers and Graph Neural Networks for flood early-warning systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching prediction models, designing and implementing software prototypes, and publishing findings at international conferences. Additionally, the role involves supporting academic teaching and supervising students. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field; interest in pursuing a doctorate (PhD).

Experience

  • Professional experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence, specifically within Natural Language Processing
  • Practical experience in software development and programming
  • Experience with machine learning libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Experience in the application domain of water systems is desirable
  • Experience with software development tools like Git and CI/CD is preferred
