Job Summary

This role involves executing procurement and awarding procedures for the Hannover University of Applied Sciences, with a strong focus on sustainability criteria. As a central point of contact, you will provide service-oriented consulting to faculties, administrative units, and project managers throughout the entire procurement lifecycle. Day-to-day tasks include conducting price comparisons, performing market analyses, and reviewing framework agreements. The position is part of a pilot phase to centralize procurement at the university, offering a unique opportunity to shape new administrative processes. It is based in a professional finance department that manages everything from accounting to travel expenses. Required Skills

Education

Completed administrative training (Verwaltungslehrgang I), qualification as a Public Administrative Assistant, Specialist for Office Communication, Management Assistant for Office Management (within public service), or a comparable commercial vocational degree.

Experience

  • Professional experience in public sector administration or commercial procurement
  • Experience in conducting public awarding and procurement procedures
  • Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA (specifically PSM and MM modules) is preferred
  • Experience using online procurement platforms from either the client or bidder perspective
  • Proven track record in budget law and financial administration
