Job Summary
As the Head of Engineering, you will lead and structure a multidisciplinary engineering team across Germany and India for a specialist in solar mounting systems and DC cabling. Your daily responsibilities involve steering customer-specific projects, prioritizing R&D initiatives, and driving the strategic development of mounting structures and installation processes. You will collaborate closely with the CEO and CSO to transition the team toward efficient 'daily business' operations while ensuring all products meet rigorous performance, safety, and efficiency standards. A key part of the role includes evaluating internal software to boost engineering productivity and engaging in technical discussions with clients. This position is ideal for a proactive leader with a mechanical engineering background who possesses a strong interest in electronics and software. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a comparable technical field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in mechanical engineering or environmental engineering within the photovoltaic sector
- Multiple years of experience in the development of PV mounting systems and installation processes
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Experience in structural engineering and statics for solar substructures
- Experience in managing international R&D projects and cross-border teams
