Job Summary
As a Chemical Specialist at Veolia, you will play a pivotal role in driving ecological transformation by managing hazardous waste operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve overseeing the handling and transshipment of problematic and hazardous waste, ensuring strict compliance with dangerous goods regulations (ADR/GGVSEB). You will be responsible for the entire order processing lifecycle, from taking on-site samples and organizing laboratory analyses to creating waste profiles and calculating orders. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership for waste collections in accordance with TRGS 519/520 standards. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Chemical Specialist, Specialist for Circular Economy and Waste Management, or Chemical Technician. Ideally supplemented by further training as a state-certified technician with an environmental focus.
Experience
- Professional experience in chemical handling or waste management operations
- Experience in the practical implementation of dangerous goods law (GGVSEB/ADR)
- Proven experience in order processing, calculation, and invoice verification
- Experience in technical leadership for hazardous waste collection according to TRGS 519/520
Languages
Additional
- Valid driver's license class C/CE is desirable. Certification according to TRGS 519 and 520 is preferred. Role requires local travel for customer on-site sampling.
