Job Summary
This role involves managing and developing the 'Learning in the Makerspace' (LiMa) project at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences. Day-to-day, you will advise and support faculty members in creating innovative teaching formats and guide students through independent projects, including safety training and technical instruction. You will be responsible for the operation and equipment of the faculty's makerspace, ensuring safety standards are met and developing user manuals. This position is unique as it blends technical engineering expertise with educational innovation, focusing on digitalization and sustainability. You will actively participate in interdisciplinary teams to shape the future of university teaching while engaging in networking activities and academic publications. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Engineering (Master's or University Diploma) in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering or Information Technology.
Experience
- Professional experience or proven knowledge in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in Maker Education and didactic settings such as Service Learning or Research-based Learning is preferred
- Initial experience in teaching or teaching support at a university level is desirable
- Experience in project management and independent process responsibility
- Experience in developing technical safety guidelines and documentation
