Job Summary
As an IT Hardware Service Technician at Mediaform, you will transition from traditional electrical work into a modern technical support role focused on Auto-ID systems. Your daily responsibilities will include providing telephone support to customers for the installation and configuration of label printers and scanners, as well as performing remote and occasional on-site troubleshooting. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of hardware components and documenting all activities within a ticket system. This position is particularly attractive for qualified electricians looking to pivot into IT, as the company offers a structured onboarding process and comprehensive training on specialized hardware. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in electrical engineering (e.g., Electrician, Electronics Technician, or similar qualification).
Experience
- Completed vocational training in an electrical field (e.g., Electrician, Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, or Industrial Engineering)
- Professional experience in technical customer support is preferred but not mandatory
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and repairing technical or electronic equipment
- Experience in customer communication and problem-solving

- The role is based in Reinbek near Hamburg. While primarily remote support, occasional travel to local customer sites in the Hamburg area may be required. Candidates must have the ability to work full-time.
