Job Summary
The Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection (BMJV) in Berlin is seeking a dynamic leader to head the 'Information and Communication Technology' division. In this high-impact role, you will lead a team of 34 employees and oversee the strategic planning, implementation, and operation of the ministry's entire IT and telecommunications infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities will include managing large-scale digitalization projects, representing the ministry in federal IT consolidation groups, and advising senior leadership on technological advancements. This position is unique as it offers the chance to shape the digital future of a federal ministry while providing the stability of a permanent public service contract. You will be the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring that the ministry utilizes state-of-the-art, secure, and efficient technology to fulfill its mission.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Master's level or equivalent) completed with above-average success, preferably in a field related to IT, Management, or Law.
Experience
- Several years of proven experience in leading organizational units or departments
- Several years of professional experience in the field of Information and Communication Technology or a role with a strong IT focus
- Extensive experience in managing complex IT projects and strategic organizational development
- Professional background in public administration or a comparable environment is beneficial
