Job Summary
This role involves the planning, implementation, and maintenance of diverse network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, WLAN) for the North Rhine-Westphalia financial administration. As a key member of the 'Networks, Systems Engineering, Administration, and UPS' expert team, you will be responsible for the complete modernization of local networks, including rollout planning and the configuration of hardware components like switches and routers. Beyond technical setup, you will analyze and resolve network disruptions, handle service requests, and collaborate closely with software development and IT operations teams. The position is based in the Bergisches Land/Sauerland region and offers a secure public service environment with flexible working hours and home office options. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Communications Engineering, Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or IT System Electronician combined with several years of relevant experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in network technology or system integration
- Practical experience in at least two areas: Windows Server, Linux Server, Virtualization, or User Support
- Experience in planning and executing network rollouts and software updates
- Experience in collaborative troubleshooting and service request management
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to travel within the Bergisches Land/Sauerland region. Readiness for initial training which may take place in other regions of North Rhine-Westphalia.
